Like most Americans, Alison Weir, the editor of a
small-town newspaper in California, knew very
little about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,
other than what she had gleaned from the evening
news or newspaper headlines. As a journalist, her
attention was on issues much closer to home.
Neither a muslim nor a jew, she nevertheless
became more curious about the topic of the
Palestinian uprising. And as she researched it,
she became increasingly suspicious that the
American media were not telling us the whole
story. Months later, she traveled to the occupied
territories as an independent journalist to find
out for herself what the U.S. media seemed to be
omitting. Three months after returning from
Palestine, Alison Weir quit her job and founded If
Americans Knew, an organization dedicated to
quantifying the ways in which the American media
was misinforming the public about the conflict.
Ms. Weir explains her group's methodology,
analyzes the data, and reports on the key
findings. Producers: Paul Chek and John Odam
(2006)

| Music Channel Charts (MCC) - Classic Episode - Part 1 of 6 |
 |
For those Pakistanis, who were studying in
schools, colleges or universities back in the 90s,
there is 1 great reason to remember that decade:
MUSIC CHANNEL CHARTS (MCC)
MCC was great. No wait, not just great, it was the
greatest. Right now, we have more than dozen music
channels that broadcast music 24/7 but their was a
time when you have to wait entire week to watch
just an hour long music program. That program was
MCC. Produced by Ghazanfar Ali (who now owns the
Indus TV Network), MCC was Pakistan's most famous
chart based music program. Every week top 10 music
videos from different artists & bands were played
with new entry every week. MCC made Najam Shiraz,
Junoon, Ali Haider, Sequencers, Fringe Benefits,
Yatagaan, Arid Zone, Milestones, Nadeem Jafri,
Saleem Javed, Aamir Saleem, Jazba, Collage, Bunny,
Aamir Zaki, Strings, Hasan Jahangir, Khalid Anum &
so many others a house hold name. People still
remember MCC because it was new, a breath of fresh
air, in a time when we have no idea what MTV was
up to.
MCC was simply Out of This World. Remember there
was not MTV or Channel[V] at that time in
Pakistan. The videos were awsome, lyrics were
classy, bands & singers became hit. We watch MCC
every week regularly as
if it was prescribed by our doctor.
MCC mostly showed music videos of amateur artists
& bands who created one hit wonders. They enter
the show through New Entry section, stayed on
charts for couple of weeks & then bye bye. But not
all of them ended up like this. Artists like Ali
Haider, Nadeem Jafri, Fakhr-e-Alam, Saleem Javed,
Amir Zaki, Strings, Junoon, Amir Saleem, Bunny,
Yasir Akhtar, Hasan Jahangir, Khalid Anum & many
more are still famous.
MCC was hosted by Fakhr-e-Alam & in this episode,
he tries to convince a boy's father to watch MCC.
I have only got this 1 episode (6 parts), so plz
don't ask for more. I hope some1 else shows up
with more episodes & share them with us. Tags : music channel charts mcc karachi pakistan 90s show tv junoon strings vital signs ali haider azmat salman ahmed junaid |

| 4. Day Trading Lesson 4: The Basics of Charts |
 |
http://www.informedtrades.com/
The fourth lesson in a series on technical
analysis for day traders of the forex, futures,
and stock markets.
The tool of the day trader when analyzing the
forex, futures, or stock markets is the price
chart. Very simply a price chart is a chart
showing the movement of the price of a financial
instrument over a chosen time.
Most charts will allow a wide variety of time
frames to be displayed and the time frame that day
traders choose to use varies widely and depends on
each traders trading style. In general, longer
term traders will focus on daily time frames and
above, and shorter term traders will focus on
intraday charts such as hourly or 15 minute
charts. Many traders will also use a combination
of time frames in order to get a full picture of
what price has been doing by, for instance,
looking first at a longer term daily chart, then
moving to an hourly chart, and then finally to a
15 minute chart. Tags : daytrade forex stocks fututres trading investing money business finance informedtrades |
