Here's a newer version of my first show reel,
changed the music to something a little more
"Happy" on the request of a good friend. ;)
Clip 1. "Something Leggy"
Software used: After Effects, Maya, Mental Ray.
Responsible for compositing, lighting,shot
concept. rendering multiple layers for comp,
painting textures for tree shadow, rotoscoping
foreground, color correction, filming of
background plate.
Clip 2. "Color Correction"
Software used: After Effects. Responsible for
color correction, frame painting, post-camera
moves.
Clip 3. "The Carnotosaurus"
Software used: After Effects, Shake, Maya, Mental
Ray. Responsible for compositing, lighting, shot
concept, rendering multiple layers for comp,
rotoscoping foreground, color correction,
post-camera moves.
Clip 4. "Motion Tracking"
Software used: Shake, MatchMover Pro 4, Maya,
Mental Ray, Photoshop. Responsible for
compositing, lighting, tracking, rendering
multiple layers for comp, rotoscoping foreground,
creating channel based lighting rig, texturing 3-D
model, filming of background plate.
Clip 5. "Keying"
Software used: Shake. Responsible for compositing,
lighting, green screen extraction, color
correction.
Clip 6. "See Spot Run"
Software used: After Effects, Photoshop, Maya,
Mental Ray. Responsible for compositing, lighting,
rendering multiple layers for comp, rotoscoping
background, color correction, creating 2-D
blood/dirt.

This video is two parts, be sure to watch the
first part beforehand!
This tutorial for Sony Vegas explains how to use
3D (axis' X Y Z). It will tell you the
fundamentals to work in 3D space, and also give
examples of using this.
Difficulty: Moderate to Hard
Prior Knowledge: Masking, Basic Video Effects,
Basic Track Motion, Layers and Tracks.
This tutorial was taught using Sony Vegas 7.0d. It
will work from versions 5 to 8. You do not need
PRO for this effect to work.
