Couple of laps at Firebird International Raceway
in a time attack session (1 warm up lap, 2 hot
laps) in Jan. 2006.
It was an 800 mile drive from SF Bay to Phoenix...
my Civic (aka project remix, 145 whp, 2150 lbs,
for details of the car see
http://www.g-speed.com/remix ) ran 1:12.5 which
was good for 1st in class and 4th fastest overall
against hi whp (fastest car of the day, a high
powered Subaru WRX that makes 600+ whp, 3300 lbs).
for reference, a full race Honda Challenge H1 DC2
Integra (about 210 whp and 2300 lbs) ran 1:10's.
remix representing Honda SOHC power!! daily driver
87 oct.
The class I competed in was 200 whp (wheel hp) and
under. My car makes 145 whp so it is underpowered
by a bit. But it makes up for it in cornering
speed and braking. FIR has longer than 1/2 mile
front straight so high power cars have lot of
advantage here...
