| Hurricane Gustav Service Delivery Kitchen Feeding - Red Cross |

American Red Cross "hot meals, cold drinks come
and get em!" called Chris Newes from the driver's
seat of the American Red Cross Emergency Response
Vehicle (ERV). After Hurricane Gustav plowed into
the Gulf Coast, people began to make their way
back home this week, returning in many cases to
homes without power. Near New Orleans, in Gretna,
Louisiana, the Red Cross was there to make sure
everyone who needed a hot meal got one. With a
goal of serving 20,000 meals a day, Red Cross
volunteers and employees set up mobile kitchens,
prepared hot meals and loaded the food into the
ERV. Our hope is to find some folks who have unmet
needs related to Hurricane Gustav. There's no more
direct service you can provide than handing them a
hot meal that they wouldn't have otherwise, said
Newes, a Red Cross employee who was driving the
ERV through neighborhoods to deliver meals.

In order to get a key to enter Viper Manor, you
need to pay this lil' Mini-Game. Basically what
you have to do is feed the dragons before they
turn red, and you can hold up to 3 pieces of feed
at a time. Here's the rewards I've gotten so far.
10 Times = Knee Pads + Manor Key
20 Times = Bronze Helmet
30 Times = Bronze Mail
40 Times = RecoverAll Element
I haven't beaten it on 100 Times yet, the highest
I've gotten before was 78. In the guide I'm using
it says you get an Iron Vest if you complete it.

| Red Cross Stops Feeding IDPs |

Nine months after December's post-election
violence, there are still many living in IDP camps
outside Mathare. Most of the people in the camp
are members of the Kikuyu tribe and their homes
were destroyed or confiscated by members of the
Luo tribe. About 3 months ago the Red Cross
stopped giving out food to the people living in
the camps. To re-build their homes in Mathare
would cost around $10,000ksh (about $150 US); most
people living in the camps earn 50-150ksh
($.75-$1.25US) per day and now most of that money
will need to be spent on food.

Morgan and I were asked to do an interview on
cross-nursing. It was taped last month and aired
on July 28th. We're both generally happy with how
it turned out.
