Inspired by the very first Stealth aircraft the
Canadian built De Havilland DH-98 Mosquito.
Project:
Britgaskets Nexus6.1 stirling engine, launch
kit-4-6 weeks. Working prototype 2 weeks.
I am layering and making jigs tonight for my
innovative Balsa Kevlar fabric laminated
displacer. I used a two part high heat silicone to
bond these then sanded to 31.2mm on the lathe for
the bore of 33mm x104, displacer height to be
tested from 70mm - 90mm I have run simulations on
configuration. 2.78 vol. ratio with 20mm
graphite/brass piston in beta format. May have
gone to far after specs but this is very promising
and if you cross grain it makes a non-crushable
displacer which conducts heat slower than any
metal! if heat stress proves an issue the diameter
will be reduced and it will be sheathed in tight
weave Kevlar fibers or rovings with permatex or
similar high heat silicone. I have service tested
grey permatex at 100psi and 700+f so think it is a
good candidate over epoxy or brittle JB weld. JB
weld can really mess things up in high heat
cycling conditions, also not a material suitable
for production though Loctite and composite gasket
sheet will be used including Duralon and or a ptfe
ringed power piston. I thought of model plane fire
proof dope as well as option over balsa. It will
be slow dried before sealing for sure to remove
most of the moisture 90% + at 450f bare.

into the car and then Mitchie gets in and drives

*IN THE CAR*
Mandy; *shakes Jason* Jason? Are you ok?
Jason; Huh, yeah. *covering up his cuts, but hes
still losing a lot of blood, and Mandy keeps
shaking him to make sure he doesnt go unconscious*
Mandy; Jason, thank you so much.
Jason; For what?
Mandy; For helping me out. Im sorry I didnt trust
you. *looks guilty*
Jason; Um, its ok, Melanie, I wouldnt trust me
either. *grins weakly*
Mandy; Um, its Mandy, but thats kind of a start.
*laughs*
Jason; mmm-hmmm. *closes his eyes and falls
unconscious*
Mandy; *panicked* Jason? JASON! JASON, WAKE UP!
Jason;
Mandy; Jason! Please! MITCHIE!
Mitchie; Yah, Mandy?
Mandy; *tears filling her eyes* Jason went
unconscious! Call a hospital! CALL SOMEONE!
Mitchie; What? Oh-no! *takes out her cell phone
and dials 911*
Police; 911, whats your emergency?
Mitchie; Help! Our friend Jason Gray is
unconscious! Please send an ambulance!
Police; Alright, where is your location?
Mitchie; Um *glances at a street sign* 354
Cross-grain road.
Police; Well be right there.
Mitchie; HURRY! *hangs up and parks the car on the
edge of the street*
Mandy; *shaking Jason* Jason! *a few tears roll
down her face* WAKE UP!
Nick; *who had been asleep* *wakes up* Oh my god!
Jason! Is he ok!?
Mandy; No! *shakes him some more* JASON!
Mitchie; Mandy, calm down, the ambulance is on its
way.
Mandy; Tell them to get here faster! *tears
rolling down her face*
Mitchie; I cant! *hugs Mandy* Shhh, calm down.
Mandy; *sobbing and hugging Mitchie, tightly.*
Nick; *interrupts Mitchie and Mandys hug and holds
onto Mandy.* Mandy, its gonna be ok. *strokes her
hair*
Mandy; Whatever. *wipes her eyes*
Ambulance people; *pulls up to Mitchies car*
Wheres Jason Gray?
Mandy; *opens the car door and pulls Jason out*
Here! Help him!
Ambulance people; *take out a stretcher and put
Jason, gently, on it, then put him in the
ambulance.* Does anyone want to come with?
Mitchie; Mandy?
Mandy; Yes. *gets into the ambulance* A-anyone
else?
Mitchie; I dont, Ill meet you at the hospital.
Mandy; Nick? Please?
Nick; Alright. *gets into the ambulance, and it
drives off*
Mandy; *hugging Nick and crying* *to the other
person, not Nick, in the ambulance* is he gonna be
ok?
Ambulance Person; Were not sure, well find out at
the hospital.
Mandy; *crying harder* *to Nick* This is all my
fault, he wanted to help ME.
Nick; *kisses her on the cheek* Shhh, Mandy, Shhh,
its not your fault. Jason chose to help you. And
it was a really great thing for him to do;
considering he doesnt know you very well.
Mandy; He kind of knows me well
Nick; Sure, kind of. *hugs her tighter*
Mandy; *shakes Jason one more time* *in a whisper*
Jason?
Jason;
*TWO HOURS LATER, AN HOUR AFTER THEY ARRIVED AT
THE HOSPITAL.*
Mitchie; *comes into the hospital* Hey. How is he?
Mandy; *holding Nicks hand* We dont know yet.
Doctor; Whose here for Jason Gray?
Mandy, Nick and Mitchie; Us!
Mandy; How is he!!??!
Mitchie; Is he ok?
