| Billy Atwell - DRUMS: "Doumbek Improv" |
 |
This is the third in a series of three videos
showcasing Billy's percussion skills. In this one
Billy improvises on an aluminum, jingle-rim
doumbek over a prepared track of drum machine,
darbukas and tambourims. Another good one for the
neighbors! Tags : Billy Atwell drums doumbek darbuka |

| 2/4 Malfuf rhythm for darbuka/doumbek Int/Adv level |
 |
New Darbuka practice CD is now available!!!This
tutorial is about making the Eqyptian rhythm
'Malfuf' sound more dynamic. By choosing new tones
and leaving some space in the right spots we have
a much more colourful and dynamic sounding rhythm.
Although this video is aimed at the darbuka,
doumbek, tablah etc the same rule can be applied
to any drum and any rhythm of course.
The next video i will upload will be about
ornamentation in Malfuf ie; decorating the rhythm!
This is the fun part and allows the player to use
some of that flashy technique that they have been
practicing. Hope you enjoy and feel free to
contact me through my channel. )))
