| Global Pulse: Biofuel - Another Flawed Policy? |

(November 1, 2007) President Bush promised to
expand American biofuel production, but the result
has been worse than nothing. Corn is a poor source
for energy, but growing it and other staples as
fuel has caused food prices worldwide to explode -
even as the scarcity of flex-fuel vehicles means
no significant increase in U.S. biofuel use.
Now the U.N. is worried about rising food costs,
while environmentalists see entire regions torn up
to grow fuel crops. The great ethanol boom of 2007
goes bust, this week on Global Pulse.

| Numb3rs - Don Eppes - Flawed Design |

Don Eppes didn't have the best childhood. In fact
he was quite a messed up little kid ( I tried to
make clips from ER look fairly good for this) and
now it may have affected him as an adult. Hes
turned to lieing I guess about just how he feels
but near the end he begins to see how wrong it is
and ends up regretting it. Again my knowledge of
my own video is limited....must be a sign of my
ever increasing insanity.
The promo for the next Numb3rs eppy airing Nov
3rd is keeping me going through uni right now
because its paining me that as yet, TPTB or the
WWDL ( aka Writers Who Dont Listen) havent given
Don much angst to go on. Its an outrage I say....
And if I made happy cheery videos, THEN you'd all
think I was nuts :P

In this video, Paul McKeever discusses the
argument of "market anarchists" that Rand's
assertion - that government rightly has a monopoly
on the retaliatory use of force - is inconsistent
with her non-agression principle: the principle
that no person should initiate the use of coercive
physical force.
He argues that that argument is an instance of the
mind-body dichotomy: the application of one moral
evaluation to a thought, and another to the action
that the thought produces.

| Halo3 s FLAWED new melee system. |

Players X and Y have full health. They run at each
other shooting their ARs - both players hit 100%
of the time. When they meet their shields are at
exactly the same level. X melees the instant it is
viable (i.e. the instant he is "in range"), but
Y's reaction time is slower. Because player Y is
slower at pressing the melee button he by default
puts one, maybe two, extra bullets into X. Both
melees, however, count as "simultaneous" due to
the implementation of bungies new melee system.
Since X has now one AR bullet's less health than Y
he loses despite his superior reaction time and
genuine kill.
