I remember the times we spent together
on those drives
We had a million questions
all about our lives
and when we got to New York
everything felt right
I wish you were here with me
tonight
I remember the days we spent together
were not enough
and it used to feel like dreamin'
except we always woke up
Never thought not having you
here now would hurt so much
Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight
I remember the time you told me about when you
were eight
And all those things you said that night that just
couldn't wait
I remember the car you were last seen in
and the games we would play
All the times we spilled our coffees
and stayed out way too late
I remember the time you SAT AND told me about your
Jesus
and how not to look back even if no one believes
us
When it hurt so bad sometimes
not having you here...
I sing,
"Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight"
I sing,
"Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight" Tags : FM Static- Tonight |

Here we are, in the best years of our lives.
With no way of knowing, when the
whee'll stop spinning cause we don't
know where we're going...
and here we are, on the best day of our lives.
And it's a go, lets make it last, so cheers you
all to that, 'cause this moment's never comin'
back
I used to know her brother, but I never
knew I loved her, 'till the day she laid her
eyes on me. Now I'm jumpin' up and down,
she's the only one around, and she means
every little thing to me
I've got your picture in my wallet, and your
Phone number to call it, and I miss you more,
Whenever I think about you,. I've got
your mixed tape in my Walkman, been so
long since we've been talkin' and in a few
more days, we'll both hook up, forever and ever
And here I am, on the west coast of
America and I've been tryin' to think for weeks of
all the ways to ask you, And now
I've brought you to the place, Where I've
poured my heart out, a million times, for a
million
reasons, To offer it to you
I used to know her brother, but I never
knew I loved her, 'till the day she laid her

The Timers - FM Tokyo (1989.10.14)
In 1988 rock band 'RC Succession"
(RCサクセション) led by Imawano Kiyoshirou
(忌野清志郎) announced an album called
'Covers'. However, Toshiba EMI didn't publish the
album.
Toshiba EMI did a press release giving the reason
"The above-mentioned work cannot be put on the
market because it was too wonderful".
The true reason was pressure from the parent
company Toshiba because the album contained an
anti-nuclear song. At the time Toshiba was
developing a nuclear plant.
A band consisiting of 4 mysterious masked people
debuted at the rock event held at Fujikyu Highland
in Summer 1988. Zerry (vocals & guitar), Toppi
(guitar), Bobby (bass), Po (drums).
The same summer they performed at a charity
concert and performed the song Gizensha
(Hypocrite), an anti-war song. The event was
broadcast live on NHK and caused a controversy.
"Covers" was released by Kitty Records (1988.08)
and became a large hit, but NHK and Tokyo FM
refused to broadcast any of the album.
In addition, 'Tanima no Uta' (Ravine Song) is
banned from FM Sendai and Tokyo FM, and "Doboku
Sagyouin Blues" (Construction Worker Blues) was
banned by Tokyo FM. The reason for the banning is
not known.
Punk rock band Timers, led by Kiyoshirou as
"Zerry" perform on the show Yoru no Hit Studio.
The second song in their set was supposed to be
Gizensha but they deviated from their plan and
sang this song instead! Tags : the timers fm tokyo |
