| Beer Tasting 35: La BinChoise Rose / Framboise fr. Belgium |
 |
Belgium - a very diverse beer country that offers
many strange and wonderful (and not so wonderful)
beers. How many styles of beer have they crafted
out from this small country and how many of that
are 'accidental' beer?! This Rose beer has a nose
of raspberry with a malty milk drink background
(Raspberry mike shake in a waxy carton?). The
beer when poured gave a light transparent pinkish
colour with a light brown hue. It had more of the
above with much artificial candy when tasted. It
is shallow and simple with no complexity. The
after taste reminds me of the fluoride bath I had
from some of my regular dental visits. A summer
quaffer. I am disappointed as 'this is not my cup
of tea'! Give me instead a fruit Lambic beer
anytime. (Rating 76-78 points) by Michael Lam of
