| Futuristic Truck Schramm, hydrogen Milano EXPO 2015 |
 |
With their aeronautical curves, the trucks
designed by Professor Luigi Colani nearly resemble
a spaceship. The Berlin native has been working on
the development of these futuristic tractor
trailers since the 1950s. Inspired by nature,
Colani designs the truck bodies in streamline form
in order to achieve especially low air resistance
values (Cw values) and in turn greatly lower fuel
consumption, lending his trucks unique ecological
and economical efficiency.
For his current model, Glasurit*'s VOC-compliant
68 Line HS 2K CV Topcoat is making a first-class
contribution to this efficiency. That's because
the high-quality paint produced by BASF Coatings
AG meets the tough requirements the star designer
poses for his work materials and the production of
his trucks.
Friedrich Schramm, the owner of the Schramm
vehicle production company, agrees with this 100
percent. He knows his way around the production of
the designer trucks. Five years ago Schramm, who
works out of the Cologne district of Fuhlingen,
received his first job order from Professor
Colani. Schramm's company now owns the exclusive
marketing rights for Colani's best-known semi, the
CF 95 DAF model. Every Colani truck is unique and
is specially produced according to its particular
use. The extraordinary trucks are rarely used as
commercial vehicles per se.
Instead, the unique tractor trailers are used for
marketing purposes. Colani's trucks transport
image and support brands. Their eye catching
exterior sets them apart from regular truck
models. And the perfect paint job with Glasurit is
the finishing touch for the futuristic forms. "The
paint has to be high quality and durable," says
Schramm, explaining why he decided to go with
Glasurit. And when it comes to the materials for
the truck body, Colani also has high standards for
quality. State of the art glass-fiber reinforced
plastics are used for the paneling. Blue tinted
side windows make up the roof and windshield of
the cab. The capsule form, as well as other sleek
characteristics, conjure up aeronautical
associations. As in aeronautical technology, the
window panes are completely made of acrylic. Tags : Futuristic truck camion futuristico future space futuro idrogeno hydrogen vehicle Milan Italy expo 2015 car sport motor |

| New Futuristic Concept Car Unveiled |
 |
If you have a taste for hot cars this story will
really interest you.
STORY:
Nissan has just unveiled it's newest futuristic
concept car... the battery-powered "Pivo 2." It
can turn its a cabin a full 360 degrees.
It can turn its wheels 90 degrees, allowing the
car to maneuver sideways and making it very easy
to parallel park easily without looking back.
The Pivo 2 is also equipped with a computer that
talks to the driver in English or Japanese.
It can do anything from giving road information to
cheering up the driver. It even has a facial
expression sensor to tell if your day could be
better.
The price tag hasn't been set, but if you happen
to be passing through Tokyo, you can see the Pivo
at Nissan's Ginza Gallery. Tags : NTDTV 新唐人 新闻 asia brief 丰田 本田 日产 汽车 日本 japan jepun nippon 喝酒 驾驶 torque kereta sunny sylphy march prius hybrid |

| 1952 newsreel- latest futuristic and experimental aircraft |
 |
-- Bill Horton's "wingless airplane". Bill
entered into a partnership with Howard Hughes, and
legal wrangling from that (still ongoing!) stopped
all development of this plane.
-- "Sky Baby" the world's smallest homebuilt
biplane, 1952. Made it in the "Guinness Book of
World Records", but not practical for the
homebuilt market and designer Ray Stits
donated it to the National Air and Space Museum.
-- the Fulton Airphibian, the first roadable
aircraft (designed to be used as a car or an
airplane) to be certificated by the Civil Aviation
Administration.
-- XH-17 "Flying Crane", by Hughes aircraft. It
still holds the record for the largest flying
rotor system that ever flew. But was not
practical for production.
