| #915- EVGA GTX 280 1GB GDDR3 512-bit Benchmark |
 |
Do not get this card. The HD 4870 is almost par
with the GTX 280, and the HD 4870 is not even
AMD's flagship. The price of $499 for the GTX 280
does not compensate for the extra frames over the
HD 4870.
Some of you may say that the GTX 280 GX2 will
surely outperform the HD 4870 X2, but it's gonna
cost $799 for the GX2. Get the HD 4870 X2 for the
same price of the GTX 280 with performance in the
90% range of the GX2!
We saw some mechanical designs on GT200 card
leaked out on the internet and we can confirm it
is not fake as we got the same file earlier last
week from our reliable sources. The D10U card has
a total of 16 memory chips onboard up to 1GB GDDR3
memories, in line with rumored 512-bit memory
interface which we are hearing a while back. Other
information we have revealed earlier is the card
is 10.5" long and dual slot with CoolerMaster TM71
cooler. There are evidences suggesting that GT200
could be on both 55nm and 65nm process technology,
a similar approach that Nvidia is going to take
with their current G9x series. GT200 is currently
on A2 revision and there is a high possibility
that Nvidia might launch GT200 on 65nm first then
move to 55nm at a later stage. CJ told us GT200
could have 8 ROP partitions connected with 64-bit
each making up the 512-bit memory interface and up
to 10 clusters of 24 SPs = 240 stream processors.
You can think of it as two G92 cores packed into
one. There are some rumored specs leaked recently
that might be pretty close to the truth.
Nvidia has informed their partners about the
change in naming for the upcoming GT200 series
today. Previously, the marketing name for GT200 is
GeForce 9900 series when launched but now it has
been changed to GeForce GTX 200 series. GeForce
9900 GTX is now GeForce GTX 280 and GeForce 9900
GTS is now GeForce GTX 260. Nvidia has decided to
launch them slightly earlier to coincide with
RV770 launch which is around third week of June.
However, Nvidia plans to show the GeForce GTX 280
card behind doors at Computex. Tags : benchmark phenom movie 9900 gtx nehalem asus trailer duke nukem 8800gs gamefaqs 8800gt chip penryn |

| FEAR gameplay on PowerColor Radeon HD3850 512MB GDDR3 |
 |
Playing FEAR (Max settings, 1280 X 1024, 4X AA &
16X AF)with my new PowerColor Radeon HD3850 512MB
GDDR3. My system:
-Pentium Dual-Core E2220 OCed to 3GHz
-3GB DDR2 @ 667MHz
-ASUS P5B-MX MotherBoard
-PowerColor Radeon HD3850 OC edition 750core/900
memory
I've seen people showing their Radeon X1950PRO in
youtube, so now it's my turn to show off my Radeon
HD3850. I only made with the first few chapters
because I've already completed the game 3 times (2
times with my old Radeon 9250 and 1 time with my
Radeon X1300PRO). My minimum FPS: 48 Average: 102
Maximum: 278

Okay. (Anonymous) messaged me about doing an
"Unreal Tournament III" benchmark. Do I do
benchmarks? Yes I do. But I never post videos of
them myself. I am using the demo version of
"Fraps". I know.. Sucks. Full version is obviously
better and I seem to realize I can only take a
limited amount of screenshots.. Why? I do not
know.
So here is another video not by me. By them..

Original video here

My AGP system. Oh! By the way (Anonymous) asked
me, "Do you have a PCI-E(Express) system?"
Answer: Yes! I will write the specs here.
Once again my AGP system:
Supported OS: Windows XP
Processor: AMD Athlon 3.2 GHz
RAM: 2048 MB
Video Card: 512 MB DirextX 10.1b ATI Radeon 3850
Sound Card: Sound BLASTER Audigy 4
DirectX Version: DirextX 10.1b
CD-ROM: 18X DVD
Hard Drive Space: 1 TB
Multiplay: 18432 Kbps
My PCI-E 2.0 system. I do not do benchmarks with
this system because there are so many videos on
the "8800 GT" I have it on "SLI"
S O: Windows Vista
P: Extreme QX6850 3.0 GHz
R: 4096 MB
V C: 512 MB DirectX 10.0b NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
S C: Sound BLASTER X-Fi XtremeGamer
D V: DirectX 10.0b
C: 4X Dual
H D S: 1 TB
M: 18432 Kbps
Now! The actual frames! I am playing "Unreal
Tournament III" demo so yeah. There is no aa
support. Setting: 1080p, everything on maximum!
Min(minimum) = 9fps! What the hell?
Avg(average) = 32.97fps! Ew..
Max(maximum) = 60fps
P.s. I used the "ATI CCC(catalyst control center)
to place 8xaa and 16aa.. I see no difference in
image quality.
Here are my screenshots. They look bad for some
reason.
