| BMW F1 Nurburgring Nordschleife Nick Heidfeld [FULL ONBOARD] |
 |
BMW F1 Nurburgring Nordschleife - Nick Heidfeld
onboard video (note: video is mixed footage of all
3 laps)
Nick Heidfeld made 3 demo laps in a BMW F1 at the
old Nurburgring circuit in Germany.
The 24,433 km variant was used: Nordschleife + GP
Strecke: Mercedesarena/kurtzambindung (not the
full GP track).
Laptimes were 8.12 , 8.30 , 7.29 (new record)
previous record was 8.06 (Jurgen Alzen, 11-6-2005)
Note: this CANNOT be compared to the old records
of Lauda and Bellof, the track is now a different
length. Also did Heidfeld slow down at the 2 main
straights, for fotoshooting. The car was modified
with short gears, allowing only a topspeed of 275
km/h. They also used Brigestone Demo tires, these
"have no grip", according to Heidfeld. Tags : nurburgring nordschleife heidfeld onboard BMW F1 Formula formel einz hatzenbach hocheichen race racing karussell GP |

| Heidfeld and Sato crash - Austria 2002 |
 |
Another member here (SchumiSaloZanardi) uploaded
this video and in the description described it
with great inaccuracy. When I corrected him he
deleted my comments and banned me from commenting
on any other of his videos.
The truth is of this incident is that Heidfeld
braked too hard on cold brakes and the car snap
oversteered (the rear end kicked) and he went
flying down towards the corner. It was Heidfeld's
fault which he admitted. The yellow car was
actually Takuma Sato's who did not move for some
time after the accident. Sato was bruised and the
area around the pedals were crusehd slightly
making it very difficult for Sato to crawl out.
Eventually, he did get out and he was airlifted to
the hospital. SchumiSaloZanardi told something
which was completely ridiculous and then deleted
my comments correcting him. It was not Sato's
fault at all; it was Heidfeld. Sato was a victim.
Heidfeld was not shunted by anyone. Tags : Nick Heidfeld Takuma Sato F1 Formula1 FormulaOne |
