Following the release of Clara Rojas, we bring
back an investigation into her kidnapping. It also
looks at how Colombia has become the kidnap
capital of the world.
Adair Lamprea was driving Clara Rojas and Ingrid
Betancourt to a rally when they were ambushed.
"There was an explosion. The place was mined".
FARC guerrillas received orders by radio to take
only Ingrid. But Clara insisted on going with her.
Thousands of people have been abducted by FARC in
the last decade. Most are released for ransom but
politicians like Betancourt and Rojas are held for
political leverage.
