| PC Pitstop: Laptop Battery Fire |
 |
We intentionally created conditions in which the
Li-ON battery pack would explode inside a generic
portable. The results are dramatic. There are
numerous conditions where these fires can occur in
real life. Faulty battery packs (driving the
recalls), faulty protection circuits inside the
PC, exposure to excessive heat, and blunt force
are some of the major ways that this could happen
to you.

(2.8 Ghz), 500 GB of storage (2 x 250 GB hard
drives), 4 GB of RAM, integrated HDTV tuner,

more. I'm reviewing it, but when I'm done (on or
around the 17th of May), I'm giving it away to one
of YOU.
*** The Official Contest Rules ***
1. Watch this video, rate it, and post a comment
page. Your comment should answer this question:
"How will the Dragon rock your world?" Meaning, if
you were to win the HDX9200, how would it change
things for you? Would it allow you to get rid of
your current computer, monitor, keyboard, and
speakers? Would you come up with creative uses for
a powerful workstation that could be moved - could
you finally launch that mobile music recording
studio business, be a wedding photographer and
edit photos on the spot, or would it allow you to
achieve some other goal? Or would you just revel
in the sheer power of being able to play games and
edit movies faster than ever before? Tell me how
you'd use this powerful computer!
2. After you've posted your comment (only one
comment per YouTube account), click on the yellow
Subscribe button to subscribe to the Thoughts
Media YouTube Channel.
3. If you want to double your chances of winning,
also post your comment over on Digital Home
Thoughts as a reply to this post. Please post your
YouTube username as well so I can verify that
you've subscribed to our YouTube channel and
posted a comment there. If this is your first post
to Digital Home Thoughts, please allow up to 24
hours for your post to appear.
4. I'll randomly select one person from the
combined total of all the YouTube comments and the
comments here. That person will win the laptop.
Boom! Anyone in the world can win this laptop,
thanks to the generous support of HP and Buzzcorps
- it will be couriered to you.
If you have questions about the contest, please
don't post them here, only post your contest
entries - please use the contact form on Digital
Home Thoughts to send me a message.
I hope everyone has fun with this contest!

Vote for your favorite laptop -

te-laptop-computer.html
QuadCooler Laptop Cooler - This is the QuadCooler.
It is strong yet lightweight. It is powerful yet
small enough to pack along with your laptop or
notebook computer. It is a scientific fact that
computers run better at lower temperatures. It is
also true that most computers and especially
laptop computers run much higher than the ideal
temperature where computer function best. In fact,
many laptops run at such a high temperature that
they might even damage delicate components like
processor chips and hard drives.
What is a Laptop Cooler? - The QuadCooler is a
rectangular platform designed to sit underneath
your portable computer and it is powered by a
special USB cable that plugs into any available
USB port on your laptop or notebook computer. One
end of the cable is a standard USB connector and
the other end is a standard barrel type power
connector. The setup is easy. You simply set your
laptop on top of the QuadCooler and then you plug
the barrel end into the QuadCooler and the USB end
into any available USB port on your laptop
computer.
Today laptop and notebook computers are more
powerful than ever, but that also means they are
generating more heat than ever before and the
QuadCooler offers a powerful yet lightweight
cooling platform for your portable computer. The
QuadCooler is compatible with most laptop
computers or notebook computers.
