The preview mashup of the new Motorhead's album,
Motorizer.
Motörizer is the upcoming 20th studio album by
heavy metal band Motörhead. It is due for an
August 2008 release. As of July 25, the album has
been leaked over several internet sites.
The supposed album cover was revealed on the front
page of the group's official website on June 11.
The artist is unknown, but the cover features the
coat of arms of two members' nations: England
(Lemmy) and Sweden (Mikkey Dee), the flag of Phil
Campbell's homeland, Wales, and the band's logo,
Snaggletooth. Since then, the artwork has somewhat
changed. It no longer features the four skeletons
behind the coat of arms. Motörizer will also be
one of the few releases by the band not to feature
new artwork by Joe Petagno, due to an ongoing
legal dispute over copyright issues.
Lemmy appeared on BBC 6 Music's radio program
Bruce Dickinson's Friday Rock Show on July 11,
2008 to promote the album, playing the track
"Runaround Man" (Described as "Nonsense set to an
infectious beat"), "Rock Out" and "The Thousand
Names of God" ("It's completely extraneous, the
title... It's about soldiers being conned into
going into battle, for like, business men. It
isn't even a cause anymore"). "Rock Out" will be
the official theme song for WWE's Unforgiven 2008
pay-per-view event.
