Snagged a quick vid clip of the Lenovo netbook prototypes a couple weeks ago at a "Summer Holiday Sleigh Ride" event in NYC (a consumer electronics holiday preview show). UPDATE: IdeaPad S10 10.2 inch screen 2.4lbs $399 = 512 MB of memory and an 80 GB HDD $449 = 1 GB of memory and a 160 GB HDD. Be sure to click on the "watch in high quality" option under the view count... as the standard quality video is garbage. Why does YouTube do that?! Intel exec shows off low-cost Netbook mobile PC
TAGUIG CITY, Philippines--Intel's new chip codenamed Diamondville will pave the way for low-cost mobile PCs by mid-2008, says Navin Shenoy, vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific of Intel Semiconductor Ltd. Thanks to products like the Asus Eee PC and Classmate PC, Intel believes a market exists for the sub-$400 mobile PC that they have dubbed the Netbooks.
