Sez Les - Les Dawson & John Cleese - Rival Newsreaders
The Rival Newsreaders sketch from the YTV series Sez Les. Sez Les ran for 11 series between 1969 and 1976. During a couple of the 1971 shows and throughout the two series in 1974 John Cleese appeared regularly alongside Les Dawson. A number of the sketches that John Cleese appeared in have a certain Pythonesque feel to them although as far as I'm aware he didn't contribute to the writing on the show.
