Made by www.90percentofeverything.com, this video
demos the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child, aka "Hundred
Dollar Laptop") User Interface (using an
emulator). It's pretty unconventional and worth
having a look. Check out 90percentofeverything.com

http://live.pirillo.com - Awhile back, I recorded
a video about the "One Laptop Per Child" program.
I purchased one myself. I did it to help another
child, and to have a laptop around my house for
when kids come over. I received the laptop, so
let's check it out! Tags :videohelpinformationpirillobloggadgetsolpclaptopchildkidlinuxinternetprogramneedy
There are two part of tutorial .
First is "You Can Make Things With Etoys!" that
was performed by Alan Kay.
Second is "The Demon Castle 1" that was written by
Takashi Yamamiya.
These are running on VMware Player (OLPC build
#194, Windows XP SP2, XGA, Pentium 4 1.6GHz).
Etoys is never made for "Chinese Checker". Tags :OLPCOneLaptopperChild$100PCSqueakEtoyseToyAlanKayXO
Sophie and Philip, from Qubec, Canada, come into
the OLPC offices at 1 Cambrige Centre (in
Cambridge, MA) to learn how to repair one of the
XO laptops.
They showed that a task as involved as replacing
the motherboard is able to be completed by young
children using a just a screwdriver.
