http://www.ted.com In a taut soliloquy that takes
us from the origins of the universe to the last
days of a dying sun 6 billion years later,
renowned cosmologist Sir Martin Rees explains why
the 21st century is a pivotal moment in the
history of humanity: the first time in history
when we can materially change ourselves and our
planet. Stunning imagery of cosmological wonders
show us the universe as we know it now. Speaking
as "a concerned member of the human race," Rees
harkens to the wisdom of Einstein, calling for
scientists to act as moral compasses, confronting
the coming developments and ensuring our role in
"the immense future." Tags :SirMartinReestedtedtalksTechnologyScienceAstronomyClimateChangecomplexitycosmosfutureleadership
What do you buy you're father for his 60th
Birthday when he's got everything that you could
possibly buy him, from tools he'll never use
because he's getting on a bit, clothes forget it,
gold watches when he's got more bling than
Cartiers, so I suppose its get him a ride in some
fast cars before his eyesight fails and the
fastest thing he'll ever ride will be a motorised
scooter for his 70th. So here's the photo & video
evidence to prove he didn't crash and something
for him to remember it by Tags :WilliamReesDudleyAsherNeathSupercarsFerrariPorscheSubaruLotusMitsubishiFordKASwanseaPhil
A sold out crowd at LFC 22 on Nov. 30th was
treated to a great match showing why Johnny Rees
remains undefeated at 11-0. Rees made quick work
of Jeremy Wingler by defeating him with a
Rear-Naked Choke in the first round. Jeremy
Wingler did not go out without a fight and
actually drew first blood by dropping Rees to his
knees with a heavy handed right. Rees recovered
quickly and was able to overcome Wingler with the
choke. It was an end to a great night of fights.
