Last Part of Last world. I must thank you guys
again for following another good SMB3 Gameplay.
Unfortunately, there's no Gift this time, since I
haven't packed the files yet. You'll just have to
wait a little more. Tags : Super Mario Bros rom hacks |

| A few custom SMB3 levels |
 |
I've gotten my hands on Mario Improvement 3, a
level editor for SMB3, and I have had fun with it.
I'm making a custom hack of world 1 with more
levels and difficulty. What do you think of the
levels so far?
The levels shown and the map screen may change for
the final release. Tags : SMB SMB3 Mario |

| SMB3: The Great Oil Slick |
 |
ESEUSE - This code apparently causes a massive oil
tanker to collide with World 3, causing some
strange graphical changes (lots of red and black),
duplicating mutant enemies, black water, sludge
balls en lieu of fireballs, slippery platforms,
and blocks that magically produce oil covered
vines. Simply put, it's Exxon Valdez, SMB3 style! Tags : SMB3 Game Genie Oil Slick |

| More custom SMB3 levels |
 |
World 1-4 and the fortress are shown here from my
custom SMB3 ROM. These two levels are pretty
tricky, and the fortress level can be really mean
at times, as shown by my multiple screwups. The
secret passage isn't easily revealed, but then
again, isn't that the whole point of secret?
Regarding the "invisible tornado" near the end of
1-4, it's actually the tornado on the ground that
extends through the ceiling. There's nothing you
can do besides be very careful and hit the third
P-switch as early as possible. Having a powerup
can be a lifesaver as you can simply sprint across
the spikes to safety.
The map screen is modified to give me more access
to these levels. Of course, it won't stay that way
in the final game. Tags : SMB SMB3 Mario ROM Hack |

| Custom SMB3 Levels: The Third Batch |
 |
So I finally decided to get off my rear end and
make more SMB3 levels. Worlds 1-5 and 1-6 are
shown here, both of them very difficult in their
own ways.
1-5 is an ice level where you have to follow a
moving platform to a floating door at the end.
Pretty straightforward, but if you're not quick,
you'll end up missing the platform or getting
killed.
1-6 is the true gem of this video, however. My
very first SMB3 hack level was an easier version
of Question Block Land (which was actually posted
on Youtube for a few hours - a rarity!) and
pressed for ideas for 1-6, I decided to revamp
this old level into what you see today. Some
brutally tough sections here, not to mention that
leap of faith at the end.
Why do you need to keep the Spiny alive at the
beginning? I'll let you guys figure that one out. Tags : SMB SMB3 Mario |
