The Urine-ocalypse has begun!
As you all know, this is our video respone to
MSI's STV video.
The music video is so awesome, whoever watches it
turns into Jimmy! :O! And come on, who doesn't
wanna be Jimmy?
This took us 6 days of filming and 4 days of
editing to make. We spent over $100 (that's a lot
for us)for the props, hair spray, clothes, and
food for the cast. WE PUT LOVE INTO THIS VIDEO!
As of March 5th, I have just completed a revised
version! I fixed all the continuity issues (like
Matte not having "URINE-ATED" on his forehead when
he first stands up, among other things) and a few
brightness/contrast bits just because I'm a
perfectionist :D This version is now on MSI's DVD.
I'll put that video online when I get the chance
to...

| New Uses for Cow Urine |
 |
NCHOR:
Researchers in India are suggesting that cow urine
can save bees from diseases. And experiments
conducted so far are producing very promising
results. Let's take a closer look...
STORY: Scientists in Uttarakhand, India use cow
urine to help bees ward off microbial diseases,
during the rearing process.
Researchers at the Govind Ballabh Pant University
of Agriculture & Technology have explored the
efficacy of cow urine and are using it extensively
while breeding honeybees.
Ruchira Tiwari, a researcher at the university,
has been involved in this field of research for
three years now.
[Ruchira Tiwari, Researcher]:
"We have used cow urine and seen that within seven
to eight days the breed becomes healthy. We have
seen this through our research. The workers work
as cleaners and the queen bee lays eggs. After the
urine is sprayed on them, the workers start
working more efficiently and then take out
unhealthy larva from the eggshells. The queen bee
then lays eggs in the shells and then we again
spray the urine on the eggs and we have seen that
the eggs remain healthy."
In the normal rearing process, bees are
susceptible to microbial diseases.
When drugs are used to kill these microbes, larvae
production drops dramatically.
[Gurband, Laborer]:
"With the use of urine, the production of larvae
from eggs has increased. With the use of other
medicines we have seen there is a decline in the
production of the eggs. We have also tried using
sugar with teramixine, however, we found that the
bees began fighting among themselves. But this
[urine] method does no harm to the young bees, it
only has advantages."
An average bee colony yields about 22 to 33 pounds
of honey. Tags : ntd cow urine science india diseases Uttarakhand bees ward off |
