| 9/11 Commission Report bars 503 1st responder eyewitnesses |
 |
[nb: "Snowshoe Films & Graeme MacQueen acknowledge
that the image of the angle-cut column used in
this film is controversial. Recent evidence
indicates many columns appear to have been
blown apart at the welds. When we have the time we
intend to substitute a more representative image."
Within a month of 9/11, NYC fire commissioner
Thomas Von Essen, a 30-year NYFD vet, set up
interviews with fire, port authority police and
EMT first responders to record their initial
impressions of what they experienced on Sept 11.
The stories of 503 men and women ran to 12,000
pages. Graeme MacQueen, a recently retired
religious studies professor, read them all. In
addition to the heartrending nature of many of the
stories, the consistent theme was of hearing,
feeling and seeing explosions, a controlled
demolition. Failure to officially acknowledge
this evidence is further proof of an inside job.
MacQueen (McMaster University, Ontario, Canada)
narrowed down the testimony of 118 first
responders as especially court-worthy testimony.
But he notes the entire testimony was excluded by
the 9/11 Commission, as well as the National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

| CNBC Special Report: It's War -- Bratz vs. Barbie |
 |
The rivalry between Bratz and Barbie has grown
increasingly fierce. Of course, it wasn't always
that way: For the past 50 years, Barbie has
enjoyed tremendous success....until the Bratz came
along in 2001 and changed everything. Since then,
there has been plenty of hair-pulling in the
dollhouse. In this special report, Isaac Larian,
the CEO and President of MGA Entertainment (as
well as the seemingly nice man who wants to pummel
Barbie and pulverize Mattel), explains to CNBC
reporter David Faber about his Bratz dolls and why
little girls have outgrown Barbie to transition to
a product that they can identify with. He also
explains about his willingness to challenge the
Barbie franchise and believes that 2007 will
definitely be the year for Bratz. Tags : Bratz |

| World Bank Report on Cambodia |
 |
Cambodia is emerging from decades of civil war and
isolation. Helped by international programs aimed
at reducing poverty, international donors this
year alone have more than 600 million dollars to
help the country.
The World Bank coordinates much of Cambodia's aid
plan. By focusing on empowering the poorest people
and working with the government, private sector
and civil society, assistance efforts are
beginning to yield results. Tags : Cambodia South Asia World Bank poverty aid development |
